Luke 23:35-38 - Jesus: King of the Jews, King Over All
Part 78 of the Book of Luke sermon series.
As Jesus hung on the cross, there must have been doubts in the minds of many of His followers as to whether He really was the Son of God. Why didn't He save Himself? Why didn't He call on heaven to rescue Him? But as recorded in Isaiah 55, "...so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts." God had a plan before the foundation of the world, and this was part of His plan.

Luke 22:47-53 - Betrayal, Arrest, Desertion
Part 72 in the Book of Luke sermon series. In this passage. Jesus had just warned His sleeping disciples to watch and pray for the third time. Just as Jesus was speaking, His betrayer came up to Him and kissed Him, which was a sign to those with him that this was the man they were sent to arrest. These is so much in these verses that God wants us to consider and think upon, things that will transform us by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 22:39-46
Part 71 in the Book of Luke sermon series. In this passage, Jesus has just finished the Supper with His disciples in the Upper Room, and He is going to the Mount of Olives to pray. His disciples followed Jesus, and He told them to "pray that you will not fall into temptation." After Jesus prayed, He came back to where He left the disciples and they were asleep. He wakes them and again warns them to pray lest they fall into temptation.
