Acts 2:1-13 - Baptism of the Holy Spirit

As the disciples were all together in one place and of one heart, passionately seeking the Lord in prayer, the promised Holy Spirit came upon them and forever changed their lives and ministry. Today, more than ever, we need the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and through all that we do for our Lord.

Acts 1:12-26 - Waiting on the Holy Spirit

Part 3 in the Acts sermon series.
After Jesus' Ascension, the disciples followed His instructions to go into Jerusalem and wait for the Holy Spirit. While there, they decided they needed to elect a new disciples to take the place of Judas Iscariot. Were they led by the Holy Spirit, or did they act on their own? What about us? How often do we really wait to act until we hear from the Holy Spirit?

Acts 1:9-11 - The Ascension

Acts 1:1-8 - Be Spirit Filled and Spirit Led

Part 1 of the sermon series on the book of Acts.
After Jesus' resurrection, He appeared to the disciples and taught them for a period of 40 days before He ascended into Heaven. Jesus gave His disciples this command, "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised...the Holy Spirit." Why did they need to wait, and what would the Holy Spirit's coming mean? Do we need the Holy Spirit today?
