Acts 3, pt 2 - Share Truth and Live the Life

Part 10 in the Acts sermon series.
The message Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost has not changed. The Truth of the Gospel is the same today as it was when it was recorded in the Bible. That's the Truth we need to share and our lives must reflect the integrity of that Truth - Jesus' Truth.

Always Winter But Never Christmas - Luke 2:34-35

Christmas 2008
Like the comment of Mr. Tumnus in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", those who do not have Jesus in their hearts also experience a perpetual season of winter, without the hope that the true meaning of Christmas brings.

Acts 2:38-41 - Are You Warning and Pleading?

Pt 6 in the Acts sermon series.
On the Day of Pentecost, Peter speaks to the crowd of people who have gathered because of what they heard when the Holy Spirit filled Jesus' followers. After preaching the message that the One whom they had crucified was both Lord and Christ, the people were cut to the heart and asked Peter what they must do. Peter's answer then was the same that we must tell people today - repent!

Holy Spirit, Pt 1 - Three Ideas About the Holy Spirit

Guest Speaker Ken Randall gave the first of a two-part sermon about the Holy Spirit. Using the passage from John 14:16-18 where Jesus told His disciples that He was going back to His Father, but He would not abandon them. He was sending another Counselor like Himself, in the Person of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:14-37 -- By the Power of the Holy Spirit

Part 5 in the Acts sermon series.
On the Day of Pentecost in Jerusalem, the Holy Spirit has come and baptized the Apostles. Filled with Him, they began speaking in other tongues and people heard them preach the Gospel in at least 15 different languages. Many were amazed, but some accused the Apostles of drunkenness. The Apostle Peter stood up and by the power of the Holy Spirit explained to those listening what was happening. Because Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit, many listened to Him, believed, and were baptized into the Church that day.
In these last days, we NEED the power of the Holy Spirit to preach the Word, to stand firm for His truth, and to love others the way Jesus does.
Follow Jesus. Obey His Word. Seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit in your life.
